HEIT launches Managed Vulnerability Scanning serviceRelease Date: 1/27/2010 In response to increasing marketplace demand as a result of cybercrime proliferation and increasing regulatory complexity, HEIT today launched its highly anticipated Managed Vulnerability Scanning offering. The service empowers financial institutions with more robust security postures and enhanced compliance readiness. Institutions simply plug into HEIT's proven PCS-4 Platform, subscribe to the VA service, and quickly have access to easy-to-understand reports backed by HEIT's proven processes, the HIVE analysts, and best-of-breed technologies. The continuous vulnerability scans test across web applications (external only), network devices, databases, servers, and other assets. "HEIT's Managed Vulnerability Scanning service genuinely reduces risk for banks and credit unions," said HEIT CEO Dan Holt. "Institutions will have smoother audits, better insight into their security states, and can continuously and proactively address internal and external threats." The service is offered with two service levels for both internal and external assessments. The Managed service level includes a HEIT-configured, periodic, automated vulnerability scans and associated reports that can be accessed anytime through a simple portal. Managed Vulnerability Scanning service is available as a stand-alone subscription or as an add-on to HEIT's Managed Performance, Managed Security, or Managed Compliance services.
